Wondolowski's first Earthquakes goal 08-02-2009
After being traded to the San Jose Earthquakes on June 9, 2009, Chris Wondolowski took off as an MLS star. His first goal for the Quakes came on August 2, 2009, in a 4-0 victory against the Seattle Sounders.

After nearly two weeks training at Stanford University, the U.S. men's national team held its last Bay Area training session at Candlestick Park. Open to the public, a sizable crowd of supporters filled the field-level grandstand for the event.

After the final whistle, Clarence Goodson and Chris Wondolowski celebrated the Earthquakes 2-1 victory with the 1906 Ultras. Both Goodson and Wondolowski will depart the team and join the U.S. men's national team pre-World Cup training camp.
